Broadcast Messaging provides Loop users with the ability to compose tailored outbound messages by SMS or email. Within the broadcast messaging workflow, segmentation and scheduling are used to craft messages that are tailored to guests based on where they are on their journey with you, starting with pre-arrival all the way to post-stay.
Composing Broadcast Message Workflow
When logged in to inbox the contacts option should be selected (1). Next step is to specify the segment that you would want your message to be sent to (2). At the bottom right corner a button "Create Message" should be clicked for the next step. (3)
The page displayed would be: "Step 1: Compose Your Message". It is possible to use a previously saved template or to compose your own message and save it as a template (1). Email Subject, Rich Text Content and Plain Text Content all have an option to add placeholders and loop link (2). Rich Text Content (3) is meant for email messages while Plain Text Content (4) is for SMS.
Next Page displayed would be: "Step 2: Schedule Message". The available options here are: Send as one time message (1) or Send as recurring message (2). You can also defer scheduling which will keep the broadcast disabled until you decide to setup the options in the future. Delivery Medium gives different way to send the message (3).
Step 3: Preview and Send will give you an overview of your message in both email and text formats! By clicking Send unless you setup the schedule as deferred the broadcast would start based on the scheduling settings.
Broadcast messages can be sent on an ad-hoc basis or set to go out on a recurring schedule. To understand how each broadcast message is performing, metrics are provided. These metrics include:
Number of messages Sent
Number of messages Delivered
Number of messages Opened
Number that clicked the Call To Action Button
Number of Conversation Started
