Written by Jordan Parsons

Summary

This How-To Guide provides step-by-step instructions for account administrators, location managers, and department leads to export full dashboard projects or individual visual panels in the Loop Experience Platform by Benbria. By exporting dashboard data into downloadable formats (PDF, PNG or CSV), teams can share visual performance trends, analyze raw tabular grids offline, and present experience metrics to executive leadership and external stakeholders while respecting active filter contexts.

Prerequisites & Permissions

  • Primary Audience: Account Admins, Location Admins, Location Managers, and Department Leads.

  • Permissions Required:

    • Account Owners: Full permissions to view, export, and configure automated email digest subscriptions for all global or regional Dashboard Projects.

    • Location Admins: Access to view and export dashboard projects assigned to their physical locations.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Target Dashboard Project

  1. Log in to the Loop Experience Platform.

  2. From the main left navigation menu, click Projects and select Dashboard Projects.

  3. Click the title of the dashboard project you want to export (e.g., Executive CX Overview or Location Performance Dashboard).

  4. Apply any desired global dashboard filters (such as date ranges, physical location hierarchies, or messaging channels).

Step 2: Export a Full Dashboard Project

  1. In the top right header of the dashboard page, click the Export buttons.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select your target output format:

    • PDF: Generates a complete visual document layout containing all dashboard cards and summary headers—ideal for formal executive reviews and printed reports.

    • PNG: Captures a high-resolution image file of the entire dashboard canvas—ideal for slide decks, pitch decks, and internal presentations.

  3. Wait for file to download.

Step 3: Export an Individual Visual Panel

If you only need data or graphics from a single card (such as an NPS Breakdown, Heat Map, or Line Graph), export the panel independently:

  1. Locate the specific visual panel card on the dashboard canvas.

  2. Hover over the top right corner of the panel container and click the More Options icon (...).

  3. Select Export Panel Data.

  4. Select your preferred file format:

    • PNG / JPEG: High-resolution chart image for embedding into presentation slides.

    • CSV: Raw, structured tabular data grid export—ideal for custom spreadsheet modeling in Microsoft Excel, data auditing, and external BI tool integration.

  5. Wait for file to download.

Key Characteristics & Operational Best Use Case

PDF

Full Dashboard / Single Panel

Preserves visual layout, chart styling, and scorecards; best for executive reviews, regulatory audits, and printed summaries.

PNG / JPEG

Full Dashboard / Single Panel

High-resolution graphic images; best for pasting directly into PowerPoint slides, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and email updates.

CSV

Single Panel Data Grids

Unformatted raw tabular data grid; best for offline data auditing, custom formulas in Excel/Google Sheets, and external reporting.

💡 TIP: Automated Alternative to Manual Exports: Instead of manually exporting PDF files every week, set up automated Scheduled Email Digests! In the dashboard header, click Subscribe, choose your frequency (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly), and specify recipient email addresses to send automated dashboard snapshots directly to executive leadership.

⚠️ NOTE: Exported dashboard data strictly reflects active date pickers, location permissions, and applied channel filters. Location managers will only see data corresponding to their assigned physical sites in exported files.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Why does my exported CSV file show different numbers than my visual panel card?

A: Visual panel cards display aggregate calculated metrics (such as net NPS percentages or average CSAT scores), whereas a CSV export contains the raw underlying numerical data rows and response counts used to generate that chart.

Q: Can I export a full dashboard directly into Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)?

A: Full dashboards export as visual documents (PDF) or image files (PNG/JPEG) to preserve layout formatting. To analyze data in Excel, export individual chart panels or table panels using the CSV format option.

Q: Do global date filters apply to individual panel CSV exports?

A: Yes. When you export an individual panel to CSV, the extracted data rows respect all active global dashboard filters (including relative date ranges, location hierarchies, and channel selections) applied at the time of export.
