Overall

Release 4.27 focused on the enhancement of text analytics capabilities within Loop through the introduction of a new sentiment analysis feature which analyzes the underlying emotions and tone associated with response comments generated from surveys. In addition to this new feature, feature enhancements were made to key areas of the platform such as Dashboard Projects.

New Features

Response Comment Sentiment Analysis

In Loop version 4.27, users will now be able to analyze the sentiment of comments associated with survey responses. Users in Loop will now have access to greater insights regarding the tone and underlying emotions of inbound response comments. This functionality can be seen in the Responses page in Loop, where an icon will render next to the response comment indicating its sentiment. Currently, five sentiments are supported in Loop: very negative, negative, neutral, positive, and very positive.

The response list can also be filtered by sentiment, making it easier for users in Loop to find specific responses that they may be searching for.

Clicking on a response that contains an answered comment question will provide more detail regarding the sentiment of the comment. A new Comment Analysis card will render which will show an in depth breakdown of the sentiment associated with each phrase in the comment. Phrases will be highlighted in colours which correspond to their sentiment.

New responses that are collected after this release will automatically be analyzed and given a sentiment classification. To analyze existing responses, a toggle will appear within each survey project that will allow sentiment to be calculated retrospectively.

Along with support for sentiment analysis comes the addition of new measures and dimensions that can be used in Dashboard Projects. The following example shows a dashboard panel that has been configured to break down responses per day by response comment sentiment.

Feature Enhancements

Dashboard Visibility

Release 4.27 will see minor changes made to the way in which visibility behaves within Dashboard Projects. After this release, unless a user has the role of an Owner, they will only see data for locations which they have access to.

Product Enhancements

With Release 4.27 comes a variety of product enhancements and improvements. These items were implemented to enhance general usability resulting in a more seamless experience than ever before.
