Tripleseat OAuth 2.0 Migration

A
Written by Arutyun Airapetyan

Tripleseat has announced the deprecation of OAuth 1.0 for its API, with a final discontinuation date set for July 1, 2026. All users, developers, and integration partners must migrate to OAuth 2.0 before this date to ensure uninterrupted service.

How to Reconnect Your Tripleseat Integration

We recently upgraded the way Loop connects to Tripleseat, moving to a more secure OAuth 2.0 authentication method. As part of this change, you will need to re-authorize the connection between your Loop and Tripleseat accounts. The process takes less than a minute and will not affect any of your existing data or settings.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have your Tripleseat account credentials handy. During the process, you will be redirected to Tripleseat in a new window to authorize the connection.

Steps to Re-Authorize Your Integration

  1. Log in to Loop and go to Settings.

  2. In the left-hand menu, scroll to the Integrations section and click Tripleseat.

  3. You will see the Tripleseat Settings screen with an Authenticate button.

  1. Click Authenticate. You will be redirected to Tripleseat in a new window.

  1. On the Tripleseat authorization screen, review the list of permissions Loop is requesting. These include read access to your Accounts, Bookings, Contacts, and Events, as well as write access for Documents, Notes, Tasks, and Webhooks. This is the same access your integration has always had. Click Authorize to continue.

Why does Loop need these permissions?

These are the same permissions your integration has always used. We are simply switching to a more secure way of granting them. Authorizing does not give Loop any new access to your Tripleseat account.

  1. You will automatically be returned to Loop. Your integration settings will be visible and your connection will be active.

What to Expect After Authorizing

Once you have authorized the connection, everything will look and work exactly as before:

  1. Your Tripleseat settings and location mappings will be intact.

  2. No existing data or configuration will be affected.

  3. Your integration will be confirmed as active and operating normally.

This is a one-time process. Once complete, your OAuth token will be managed automatically and you will not need to re-authorize again.
