Tripleseat Settings: Advanced Mode

A
Written by Arutyun Airapetyan

The Advanced Mode tab in your Tripleseat integration settings gives you fine-grained control over when Loop surveys are automatically sent. Rather than applying one survey to all events, Advanced Mode lets you create multiple survey rules based on the stage of the sales cycle (Pre-Sale, Post-Sale, Pre-Event, or Post-Event) and further refine each rule by location, event style, event type, and recipient.

This article walks you through navigating to Advanced Mode and configuring each of the four survey sections.

Navigating to Advanced Mode

1. Log in to Loop and click Settings in the left-hand navigation menu.

2. Scroll down to the Integrations section and click Tripleseat.

Settings > Integrations > Tripleseat in the left-hand menu

3. On the Tripleseat Settings page, locate the three tabs: Location Mapping, Basic, and Advanced. Click the Advanced tab.

Note: Changes made in Advanced Mode only apply to new events going forward. Pre-existing events will not be affected by changes to these settings.

Understanding the Four Sections

Advanced Mode organises survey automation into four collapsible sections, each representing a different point in the event lifecycle.

Pre-Sale Sends a survey to a lead upon creation in Tripleseat.

Post-Sale Sends a survey after an event is marked Confirmed, Closed, or Lost.

Pre-Event Sends a survey in the days leading up to an event.

Post-Event Sends a survey after an event has concluded.

Each section can hold multiple survey rules. Rules can be independently activated or deactivated. Expand a section by clicking its row to begin configuring it.

Pre-Sale

The Pre-Sale section lets you configure a survey to be sent automatically when a new lead is created in Tripleseat. This is useful for gathering initial interest or setting expectations with prospective clients.

Click the Pre-Sale row to expand it. If no rules exist yet, click + Add to create the first one.

Each Pre-Sale rule includes the following fields:

Survey* Select the Loop survey you want to send. The dropdown lists all surveys in your Loop account.

Trigger Choose the Tripleseat event that fires the survey. For Pre-Sale rules the available trigger is Lead Confirmed.

Location(s) Optionally restrict this rule to one or more Tripleseat locations. Leave blank to apply to all locations.

Delay (hours) Number of hours to wait after the trigger before sending. Set to 0 to send immediately.

Post-Sale

The Post-Sale section lets you configure surveys to be sent after an event reaches a final status in Tripleseat: Confirmed, Closed, or Lost. This is commonly used to gather organiser feedback on the booking process.

Click the Post-Sale row to expand it, then click + Add to create a rule. Post-Sale rules share the same field structure as Pre-Sale rules: Survey, Trigger, Location(s), and Delay (hours). The trigger reflects the status change that initiates the survey.

Tip: You can create separate Post-Sale rules for Confirmed and Lost events to send different surveys depending on the booking outcome.

Pre-Event

The Pre-Event section lets you send a survey to event contacts before their event takes place. This can be used to confirm logistics, collect final headcounts, or share pre-arrival information.

Click the Pre-Event row to expand it and click + Add to create a rule. Pre-Event rules use the same core fields as the other sections. The Delay (hours) field determines how far in advance of the event start time the survey is sent.

Post-Event

The Post-Event section is the most commonly configured section. It lets you automatically send surveys to event contacts after an event has concluded. Multiple rules can be created to target different event types with different surveys.

Each Post-Event rule includes additional targeting fields not found in the other sections:

Survey* Select the Loop survey to send. Click the dropdown to see all available surveys in your account.

Location(s) Filter by one or more Tripleseat locations. Only events at the selected locations will trigger this rule. Leave blank to apply to all locations.

Event Style(s) Optionally restrict this rule to specific event styles (for example, On-Premise Event or Drop-Off). Leave blank to match all event styles.

Event Type(s) Optionally restrict this rule to specific event types (for example, Breakfast or Wedding). Leave blank to match all event types.

Recipients* Choose who receives the survey. Select one or more of: Primary Contact, Secondary Contacts, and Event Managers. At least one recipient is required.

Managing Survey Rules

Renaming a rule

Each rule is labelled with a default name based on its section (for example, "Post-Event Survey"). To rename a rule, click the pencil icon next to its name and type a new label. Descriptive names make it easier to manage multiple rules within the same section.

Activating and deactivating rules

Each rule has an Active toggle in the top-right corner of its card. When enabled (shown in purple with a checkmark), the rule is live. Toggle it off to temporarily disable a rule without deleting it.

Adding multiple rules

Click + Add at the bottom of any section to create an additional rule. Multiple rules in the same section allow you to send different surveys to different audiences. For example, you could have one Post-Event rule for on-premise events and a separate rule targeting a specific location with a different survey.

Deleting a rule

Click the trash icon in the top-right corner of a rule card to remove it. This action cannot be undone.

Saving Your Settings

Once you have finished configuring your rules, click Save settings in the bottom-right corner of the page. A confirmation message will appear when your changes have been saved successfully.

Note: Saving your Advanced Mode settings does not affect pre-existing events. Only events created or updated after saving will be subject to the new rules.
