Survey Settings User Experience

A
Written by Arutyun Airapetyan

Every survey project in Loop has a Settings tab where you manage the core details and optional features for that survey. From one page you can rename the project, connect the survey to an integration such as Tripleseat, turn on Live Translation, and set up automatic Survey Reminders.

This article explains how to open the Settings tab, what each section does, and how changes are saved.

Opening Survey Settings

1. Click the Projects icon in the left-hand navigation menu, then open the folder that contains your survey, if applicable.

2. Click the survey project you want to manage.

3. The project opens on the Summary tab. Click the Settings tab at the end of the tab bar.

The Settings page is organized into four sections, displayed as cards from top to bottom: General, Integrations, Live Translation, and Survey Reminders.

General: Renaming the Project

The General section holds the core details for the survey project. The Project Name field is required and shows the name used throughout Loop.

1. Click the Project Name field and edit the name.

2. Click Save. The Save button stays greyed out until you change the name, and becomes active as soon as you do.

After saving, a Survey saved. confirmation appears at the bottom of the screen, the Save button returns to its inactive state, and the new name appears in the project header right away.

Integrations

The Integrations section connects the survey to other software providers. Each available integration, such as Tripleseat, is listed with its own toggle.

Toggles on this page save automatically, so there is no Save button to click. When you click a toggle, a loading spinner briefly replaces it while the change saves, and then the toggle shows its new state. A toggle that is on is filled in purple with a check mark. A toggle that is off is grey.

To turn an integration off, click the toggle again. The spinner appears briefly and the toggle returns to grey.

Live Translation

The Live Translation section automatically translates incoming responses into your account’s specified language. This is useful when respondents answer in different languages and your team reviews feedback in one language.

Click the Enable Live Translation toggle to turn it on or off. Like the integration toggles, it saves automatically after a brief loading spinner.

Survey Reminders

The Survey Reminders section follows up automatically with anyone who has not responded to your survey. Reminders are sent after a delay from the original invitation, by email or SMS.

Reminders depend on the templates set up for the survey. If no email or SMS template exists yet, the Enable Survey reminders toggle and the Save button are greyed out and cannot be used. Notes below the toggle explain what is needed:

· Set up an email template in Distributions to send email reminders.

· Set up an SMS template in Distributions to send SMS reminders.

To enable reminders, open the Distributions tab, set up the template you need, then return to Settings to turn on Survey Reminders.

Tip: Project Name changes need to be saved with the Save button. Integration and Live Translation toggles save on their own as soon as you click them.
